Aroma is floral hops with a bit of fermenting apple.
Taste is big bitter earthy hops with a good amount of toasted malt presence.
Flows easily across the tongue. Dry finish. Nice beer though closer to a brown ale flavor wise. Syd (903), Waconia, Minnesota, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 3, 2008 Updated: May 21, 2008Bottle pours a slightly hazy amber with a smallish and sustaining head with some lace sheets; it looks great. The aroma is slightly metalic, very faint malt with some hops showing through. The flavor is bread like, with some hops to make it interesting - lingering bready note. Some ale fruit notes show through at higher temperatures. The palate is medium and lively. Overall, I’m not sure why the low score. Not a bad session beer. dkazuk (247), winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada

Pours a lightly orange brown with a good sized, stable cream coloured head. Hoppy, floral, sugary aroma. Flavour is malty with some hop bitterness and a bit of a light citrusy note. Finishes smooth, hoppy, and slightly dry with a real nutty character. Pretty good stuff. RichJ7 (1175), Cullman, Alabama, USA

I dont know if i would go as far as saying it was citrusy, but indeed a certain amount of pine, and hops. otherwise ok brew. jjuf1853 (480), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 10, 2008 an interesting and grainy hop presence in this one. banded white and light brown head. interesting as it is different and yet still good enough. good enough balance yes but held back -what a shame-. stronger on the malt side and actually adequate in that respect. probably better than a 2.9 but it must lose points for clearly not living up to it’s potential. best 2.9 i ever drank.
