| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 10, 2008 Pours an amber color. Very little aroma. Taste is like they used more traditional lager style hops. Metal twang in the finish. Some sweetness but not the nice malty style, more like sugar. Not a good pale ale. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jan 9, 2008 Pours a darker amber color with a tan head. Aroma is of caramel malts, sweet malts, and a hint of floral hops. Not too pleasent on the aroma. Flavor is the same with not bitterness and a lot of sweet malts. Not very good. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 28, 2007 Bottlrd. Amber coloured with a medium off-white head. Aroma is malt and a hint of hops. The flavour is mildly sweet balanced with a slight hoppy bitterness. Rather clever label. DenverLogan (421), MileHi, Colorado, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 28, 2007 Amber color; mixed size bubbles disappear quickly. Big aroma of malt, caramel, straw and earth. Rich body of malts and some hop bitterness, carob...a touch of oxidation but I don’t know how fresh this is...possibly a few too many months old. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Dec 20, 2007 Not such a bad beer afterall. Poured out a deep copper color, with an off white head. Aromas are of sweet malts, some sugars. Flavors are of sweet malts, yeasty bread, some biscuit malt. Dry after taste. Medium mouthfeel, decent body. OK beer overall. glennmastrange (868), hobe sound, Florida, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 20, 2007 Bottle. Light aromas of cereal and nutty for the malt and very faint notes of herbs and dough. Head is large, frothy and a touch off-white. It has good but very thick lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is slightly hazy, reddish tan. Flavor is lightly acidic and bitter to start, and the long finish is moderately bitter and just a little sweet. Palate is light to medium, between watery and creamy and has a lively carbonation. It finishes dry. Though a bit creamy in texture, the dryness and bitterness are the prominent atributes to this beer. smoosh (523), New Albany, Indiana, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Dec 12, 2007 Bottle - deep amber to medium copper colored. Creamy beige head. A deep malty aroma. Very few hops in the nose. The flavor is nice ... very nice. However, it tastes more like an amber than a pale ale. Especially a west coast pale ale. A nice creamy mouthfeel. Overall a good beer, but I still don’t think it’s a pale ale. JamesCrosson (36), Fair Lawn, New Jersey, USA
