Feb 16, 2007 Bottle. Sweetish vegetal funk, really rank, but I dig. Light pale malt with a little malt and slight caramel. Orange body with a bubbled beige head. Gentle hoppy taste has some of that funky hop I like so much, very light bitterness balances out a light sweetness. Mellow with some cardboard and bready malt, light hoppy caramel takes us out into the aftertaste. Thinnish body. Not much going on here, best part is probably the dry aftertaste.

Feb 12, 2007 Bottled whilst in New York, bought in an uptown deli. Suprisingly hoppy, good beer. During the hedonistic Tim and Torry weekend at the Pierre Hotel.

Feb 7, 2007 12 oz bottle with some nice shtick on the label that poured copper with a couple dozen or so platelets of sediment floating around. There was a lasting tan head. This beer seems to have a Pale Ale type aroma with something sweet, something vaguely citrus, a bit of pale malts and pine hops. Nice flavor with some up front hops from the pine flavor variety that blends into a little bit of grapefruit then runs into bitter pine toward the finish. About at the midway point the malts show up with a roastiness and sweet caramelized malt notes.

Feb 6, 2007 Get a soapy aroma in this one.Pours light copper with an off white head.Swet malt dominates the flavor.Mouthfeel is a little thin with a sweet malt finish.

Feb 4, 2007 Sweet caramel malt aroma from a light golden brown body. The palate is full for a pale ale. Solid caramel malt flavor with just the right amount of hops--solid APA for sure.

Feb 4, 2007 Poured a nice copper beer with a 1-inch tan head. Nice appearance. Aroma is sweet and malty, but it’s not as present in the first taste, which hits hoppy and ends with an elongated bitter finish. Decent balance, but it seems more like a Pale Ale with a copper color than a Light Brown Ale. OK, but I wouldn’t rush out to have another one.

Jan 28, 2007 clear copper with small off-white head. aroma of almonds. flavor is malty and bready(shortbread). light, but fitting, hop addition. i wonder why they call this a brown.
