Pours a muddy light brown color with fairly small tan head thats leaves quickly. No true distinct nose, slightly nutty aroma but not overpowering. Lots of carbonation and chewy taste. A slight bite in the aftertaste that I think is necessary to make the beer respectable and good. Full of off-caramel tasting malts. To dark in my opinion to be an american pale ale but the good hops make the flavors lean towards this style. Leaves a good taste in the back of your throat. Pretty decent texture. ancherrera (161), Cape Coral, Florida, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 4, 2006 Bottle. Dark amber with a large off-white head that lasted and had good lacing. Good well balanced sweet aroma. Medium body. Full well balanced sweet flavor with a light long bitter finish. Solid drinkable brew. Firemoose15 (542), Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 3, 2006 Bottle. Aroma primarily non-existent. Poured a medium brown. Flavor was very muted with the malt to hop ratio. Palate was watery but the finish to me was an odd bitter. That’s really all that needs to be said, we move on. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Mar 19, 2006 12oz. bottle. Slight aroma of caramel, grainy sweetness, wheat toast and gently floral hops. Light-medium copper color, clear, with a lasting, creamy, ivory head. Flavor is predominantly bitter with a good amount of hop spiciness to start, becoming lightly astringent and maltier, and featuring a lightly toasted, grainy, dry finish that has just a hint of metal and wood. Highly carbonated and prickly mouthfeel, body is medium. Not balanced to my taste, apparently. DrunkAsASkunk (847), Lynnwood, Washington, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 14, 2006 This unbelievable amalgamation of mediocrity pours a clear amber color with a visible degree of carbonation and a quickly dissipating slightly tannish head with no lacing. The aroma is sticky smelling with hops, twigs and dryness being predominant...throw some wood and cotton in there and you have the aroma. The flavor is overly bitter with a cottonmouth orange tangyness that needs to be caged in a museum and never let out. Dry with an abundance of pine on one end and an obscene amount of cardboardy malt on the other. Mild carbonation prickliness. Medium bodied. Why did they even bother? Aromas of floral and citrus hops and caramel malts. Flavor is nuts, caramel, and floral and grapefruit hops. Starts out very sweet but fades to a bitter finish. Palate is medium bodied and pretty drinkable. Not bad but nothing great. gputty (456), Virgina Beach, Virginia, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Mar 2, 2006 From bottle. Pours a dark orange with off white head. Almost a vegetative and spice nose, strange. Very light malt taste with a slight bitter in the finish.
