2/23/06 (bottle): Medium to dark amber with an average head. Light nutty aroma. Middle of the road malt/chestnut flavor with a minor bitter edge. OK.

i was actually pleasantly surprised from this beer. i have seen this forever but never tried it. copper brown liquid with a tan marbled head. nose mostly of willamette flowers. more bread malty flavors on the full bodied palate with a nice bittering character as it ends. bolder then i expected and a good everyday drinkn beer. weak rates suggest this beer is alot worse then it is...maybe i’m the odd man out here.

Good call here. I thought I might have been struck by lighning just for ordering it. Not a bad beer but quite forgettable. I dont remember much about it at all really so cant give it much of a rating.

bottle - Pours with a thin head, fades kind of quickly. Mild, malty aroma. Flavor has some hoppy bitterness, but not as much as most pale ales I’ve had. Fairly clean finish, just leaves a mild aftertaste, but not unpleasant. This brew is okay. I liked their Messiah Bold better though.

I thought this would be darker for some reason, but it was pretty much the opposite. Fairly pale looking, slightly malty, bit sweet, but also has a slight hop presence. Okay beer.

Aroma had a normal malt sweetness to it. Pale amber color body with decent head. Flavor had a sharp spicey bitter bite. Bitterness subside half way through the beer and a malty sticky texture till finish. Sat in my gut like I had the feeling of eating 10 slices of butter bread with a sticky malt sweet taste on the palate.

No head. Light-medium amber. Harsh, sweet caramel malt with a bad bitter finish. Not drinkable, really.
