As many of the reviewers have said, this ale is a tad thin but it has a nice caramel taste. The aroma has a little bit of cardboard but not so much that it ruins the beer. The appearance is red brown with a nice foamy head. I never detected any quality issues as the beer had even flavor and strong bitter hops from start to finish. One unusual characteristic of this ale is the delayed effect of the hops. You take a drink and then a second later you taste the hops. Not bad but I think this ale could be better.

Rusty light-brown, slightly hazy, with a nice off-white head. Head is very slowing diminishing, down to a toole-looking thin film of teeny bubbles. Brown sugar and sour grain nose. Rather nice hop crispness up front, rounded-out by caramel malts and toffee. Moderately carbonated, finish is a tad thin. I wasn’t expecting an APA: label said "light brown ale," so I was expecting a light "brown ale" ... go figure. Surprisingly solid.

So you can trust me on this ... and why not? Nu, why should I lie to you? I had pretty minimal expectations, especially after the reviews that I read here. Actually, there may be some quality control issues. My bottle was surprisingly nice. Good clean malty taste, good American hops, good bitter finish. Great looking clear amber pour with a good white head that vanished too quickly but looked great while it lasted. I surely would rather drink this than the most recent bottles of Bass Ale I have had!

I could of sworn i saw a piece of hair in this but it turned out to be a whirlwind of bubbles. Orange thick haze with a tinry fluff head. Flavor is bland or either the beer has gone expired. A tiny bit of ctirus and maybe caramel but this taste likes its gone flat. No dates provided =/

Large white tan head from the pour. Medium carbonation. Light malty aroma. Color is a medium amber. Flavor is pretty typical. Sme malts to offset a bit of hops. Bit more hops shows up at the finish. Little bitterness. Slight dry bitter aftertaste. Nothing offensive but nothing special

Umm ... yeah, a pretty unexciting ale. Not good, not bad. Just balanced and average.

malty rye aroma, tons of caramel. thin, but syrupy. not a great beer, definitely not a hoppy APA.

The nose was hit with citrus flavors and sweet malts, then vanilla then the aroma seemed to die down a bit. Lots of citrus flavors in this beer but grapefruit was definately the most dominant. Not as hoppy as I was hoping for.
