Lots of citrus flavors in this beer but grapefruit was definately the most dominant. Not as hoppy as I was hoping for. Cornfield (4966), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA

Mild copperish color with a milder aroma. Not very much to grab one on the taste. It’s okay. DYCSoccer17 (2200), Davis, California, USA

Very mild aroma with a floral slightly pine aroma to start, which disappears. Slight caramel maltiness. Transparent golden orange copper color with a tiny white head which goes away fast. Quite hoppy and pine-like to start. Slightly metallic in the middle and a somewhat boring slightly watery finish. This is ok, needs more body. beaconstreet (811), Washington DC, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Sep 26, 2004 Have wanted to try this for a long time, after being knocked off my feet seeing it look up at me in a New York deli fridge. It says it has ingredients from all around the country. Hm, not sure what they are, but I guess cross-pollination and all that is typically a good thing. Aroma is slightly citrus-limey. Okay flavor, a bit bitter. Tastes somewhat like New York City public tap water (bizarre mental connection there). Maybe that’s the geographic connection for NY. Slightly hopsy, and sweet. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 14, 2004 Appearance: bright amber hue, close to a ruby red, at some angles, with a fine, fuzzy, creamish-colored head.
Aroma: soft, gentle, and simple right off, with light, floral hops,
As for taste, we begin with a very welcome hoppiness that delivers a small payload, providing a spicy hop kick, then departs, while the rest of the palate is pleased by a delightful fruitiness (cherreis, berries, a smack of citrus) and a handy helping of malt. Medium bodied, with a warm, lingering finish. Bitterness opens up at the end, as hops have the last say. Quite a tasty little treat, a nice refresher.
L’chaim!
