Bottled. Pours super dark in color. Malty roasted aroma. Slighty sweet smell with chocolate and roasted coffee. Malty roasted coffee flavors right up front. Some bitterness. Slightly burnt. Maybe a touch of alcohol flavor.

Pours a deep black wiith a huge, oily brown head on top. Aroma is yeasty, sharp hops, and chocolate. Flavor is slightly fruity, dark chocolate, coffee, bananas, caramel, very bitter hops and a dry, roasty finish. Tastes like a barley wine, without the sweetness. Like "barley wine- dry" I suppose. Pretty good.

Jewbelation 5766 pours to a beautiful, bright, deep garnet to brown color with a thick and creamy tan head, and a moderate amount of carbonation. The nose on this beer is just jam packed with big malt and hop aromas. Sweet malt, coffee, roast, and toasted, nutty aromas marry with citrus and pine aromas paired with peppery alcohol. The palate on this beer is rich and full with just layers of malt character. Sweet malt, dark chocolate, coffee, roast, and toasted nut flavors fill the mouth and coat the tongue. There is a lot going on here, and this beer is just a wonderful beer to slowly sip and savor. Jewbelation 5766 finishes with lots of those big flavors up front, then ends roasty, then bitter with a smack of piney hops, and some warming alcoholic warmth.

On tap at Mahars. Very dark color, with a nice creamy head. Aroma was subtle roasted malt. Flavor was roasted coffee, caramel and alcohol. Palate is thinner than I hoped for, kinda ruined the experience.

Bottled. Dark ruby red colour, mediumsized white head. Bready, grassy, ,caramellish, a bit dull "old homes" aroma. Still very interesting. Flavour is roasted malts, alcohol, caramel and coffee. Fullbodied and very complex. Strong alcohol in finish.

Unusually good beer. Pours dark reddish brown, almost opaque, with a medium brown head. Aroma is hops and coffee. The flavor is a big mixture of tastes; hops, malt, coffee, caramel, toffee, alcohol. Problem is that the beer is completely unbalanced. Unique, but will probably not get again.

Pour is a dark red with a white head. Aroma is hoppy and cinnamon. Flavor is chocolate and molasses with a slight alcohol burn at the end. Nothing really special or great.

Very dark ruby red, almost opaque, small expresso head. Light metallic aroma of sweat and malts. Roasted, medium-bodied, backed with alcohol. Long bitter coffee taste in the aftertaste.
