| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Oct 8, 2006 ok, first of all, i need to preface this by saying that i’m reviewing the 10yr jewbilation brew, but i can’t find that on this site. perhaps i’m not searching for the correct item. anyway. on to my opinions...
this black pour stays true to the hoppiness of the He’Brew brews. i’ve tried the R.I.P.A., as well as the Genesis, and i must say that the Jewbilation 10th Anniversary will never let anyone down. There’s a nice thick head on this fairy robust beer. Also, there’s a chocolately-caramel palate that overwhelms. it definitely caught me off-guard, but in a surprisingly pleasant fashion. The bitterness is appropriate, as it does not exceed the brew. it’s a fabulous beer with a nice long coffee finish on the back-palate. because i enjoy the complexity of the palate, i have to agree with a few of the other critics in the fact that it is a great brew. pick it up if you have a chance. sneagrams3 (1757), St. Louis, Missouri, USA

Vanilla malt nose. Cocoa and prunes. Chocolate chip cookies. Full and sweet. Bitter alcohol finish. Syrupy sweet malts. The hops and bitternessmellow as it warms. Cola ish. Finish is long and biting. Cloying. Bittersweet. Slight coffee. Nice balance. Second glass...Still filtered and deep garnet. Raisin cookie nose. Bitter and sweet breads. Lively coffee bitterness. Delicious! | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 12, 2006 Murky red-brown body, thin ochre head. Aroma of toffee, chocolate, and biscuits, earthy and toasty with slight tartness. Biscuits with chocolate coating paired with earthy, bitter hops characterize the body. Notes of raisin, prune, and dusty sweet breads develop after a few sips. Nice complexity and smoothness. xmarcnolanx (798), Kirkwood, Missouri, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 2, 2006 A heavy coffee, malt aroma. Slight hop presence in both aroma and finish which is disappointing. As the beer warms the expresso overtones mellow to a roasted coffee, raisin, and a pale chocolate malt, finishing with a little astringency. Coffee pervades through the finish with a decent amount of viscosity. Not a bad beer, but definitely would have prefered a hoppier aroma. zach8270 (2110), Henrietta, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 16, 2006 (bottle - 22 oz) Dark brown pour with a fizzy and thin tan head and some red highlights. Aroma is rather light but very malty. Some notes of nuts, raisins, and some brown sugar. Maybe some maple syrup in there? Flavor begins with lots of malt and some dry wine notes. It quickly goes to a very dry and malty middle with some metallic hints and a slightly spicy finish. Medium-bodied and leaves a pleasant coffee aftertaste on the palate.
