The hebrew 11 rocks and throwing it in rye whisky casks makes it even better. Not too over the top on whiskey rye flavor, it is somewhat subtle up front and comes through in the after taste. Almost too drinkable. I am a huge fan of this beer, can’t wait till the 12/12/12. This beer is not for faint hearted, only big beer fans!!!!! LilBeerDoctor (1505), East Setauket, New York, USA

Aroma of whiskey and alcohol, slightly roasted malt, caramel malt. Flavor was really really hot. Just a lot of whiskey and this beer already tasted like alcohol before it was aged in barrels. Not good IMO. bb (2919), Martinez, California, USA

Whiskey, vanilla, caramel malt flavor with backing hops. Medium body. Lingering vanilla, malt, whiskey, light oak. Nice. Well balanced barrel aged beer. Nothing overpowering.
