Feb 20, 2008 On tap at brouwers. The hebrew 11 rocks and throwing it in rye whisky casks makes it even better. Not too over the top on whiskey rye flavor, it is somewhat subtle up front and comes through in the after taste. Almost too drinkable. I am a huge fan of this beer, can’t wait till the 12/12/12. This beer is not for faint hearted, only big beer fans!!!!!

Feb 18, 2008 Extreme Beer Fest 2/15/2008: Very drinkable. Citrus presence--most notable to me was lemon. A good beer.

Jan 29, 2008 Draft at Blind Tiger a couple months ago. Aroma of whiskey and alcohol, slightly roasted malt, caramel malt. Flavor was really really hot. Just a lot of whiskey and this beer already tasted like alcohol before it was aged in barrels. Not good IMO.

Jan 17, 2008 Draft. Blackish beer with a dark cream colored head. Light whiskey aroma with malt and caramel. Whiskey, vanilla, caramel malt flavor with backing hops. Medium body. Lingering vanilla, malt, whiskey, light oak. Nice. Well balanced barrel aged beer. Nothing overpowering.
