light yellow/brown head with a bit of lacing. Very dark opque mahogany in color. Sweet aromas of coffee, chocolate, slight hop citrus, and dates. Very thick, round mouth feel. Small amount of hop and spice bite at the begining. Flavors of chocolate, raisins, coffee, syrup. A good rubust, stick to your ribs beer (porter/stout). good with chili and short ribs, or with ice cream

Dark Brown from the 22 oz bottle. Much maltier than I had expected. Seemed almost Quad-Like. Aromas of dark fruits and caramel. Molasses too. Flavors were similar with a touch of fruity hops in the finish. Pretty darn tasty stuff.

This beer poured a dark brown to black color. The aroma consists of chocolate, coffee, caramel, and alcohol. The flavor had a slight citrus presence I did not pick up in the aroma. I could also taste some coffee, chocolate, dark fruit like raisins. Overall is was an excellent beer.

(22oz. bottle) Pours a dark brown body with a small tan head. Aroma of mosquito repellent (DEET), toffee, toasted malts, and grapefruit peel. Flavor of bread, toffee, alcohol, chemical, and hops (spruce and citrus) with a moderately bitter finish.

Better not smoke after this one or you’ll be breathing fire!!! This one is hard alcohol with dark fruit and mild sweetness. Pillowy latte head sits on top of a brunette body. Aroma is full of sweet molasses, caramel, and toffee. Unfortunately, you can’t taste past the 11%. I am a HUGE fan of HUGE beers but this was a HUGE disappointment!!!

22oz. bottle served in a Duvel glass. Poured a deep mahogany with a couple of fingers of tan head. Huge malt aroma, some molasses, hops and a little alcohol. Big, chewy full bodied brew. Really complex malt profile with fruit, raisins, a little port like oxidation. Followed up with plenty of hop bitterness. Nice bitter finish. Alcohol is warming, but not hot. Lots of flavor here, and a bargain at $4.99.
