| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 17, 2008 Deep mahogany body topped with an ample tan head. The aroma is unquestinably malt, rich and inviting, with enough hops to temper the sweetness in both aroma and flavor. The aroma also gives some smokiness and a little dried fruit while the flavor sends some traces of chocolate and citrus hops to balance off the sweetness. The 11% ABV was nicely masked but also provided a warm finish. Surprisingly good brew from the HeBrews.

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 13, 2008 Updated: Jun 4, 2008Bottle. Pours a jet black color, with a very nice foamy light-caramel colored head. A ridiculous amount of gooey, sticky lacing remains on the glass. Very malty aromas. Caramel, roasted qualities. Nice chocolate, too. Flavors of creamy, decadent malts, with some plum, caramel, roasted coffee. Nice bittering hops fits in well. A full-bodied beer, with warming alcohol. Somehow remains pretty drinkable. Vac (2394), San Diego, California, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 6, 2008 22oz, bottle, pours a deep dark brown, with an offwhite head, the taste is muddled between malt and hops, but there is really no distinct flavor coming through i guess roasty carmel is the best, however, this is kinda thick and chewy too, and 11% is definitely here. waolsen (1223), Littleton, Colorado, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 5, 2008 Dark chestnut color with a moderate, lasting, tight bubbled tan head. Lightly sweet aromas, with grapefruit, pine, dark chocolate and touch of vodka. Sweet flavors that boarder on rotting grains. Rather harsh, with grain and dry grass and weed trimmings. I’m only a couple ounces in and I’m contemplating whether I need to go on. Very harsh and grainy. This will not mellow. slang (404), Columbia, South Carolina, USA
