Bottle from PP Shop. Dark brown, near black color in the pour with carbonation resulting in fine beige film and head around the miniscus. Aroma is mostly smoky malts, sweet coffee, resiny hops with raisin and plum background notes. Sweet caramel flavors dominate with chocolate and coffee underneath, along with smoked earthy tones and honey. Superb mouthfeel, oily and thick. Finishes with the high ABV warming the throat & sinuses. Substantial bitterness. Nice.

What a wonderful suprise!!! It pours a rich, thick brown with solid tan head. Aroma is a nice balance of malt, hops and earthy fruitiness. First sip blew me away. A strong but some how subtle balance of roasted malt with a chocoalate and tobacco overtone. But then the hops rush the palate and subside not to over due it. A very well balanced and drinkable beer with a unknowing 11% abv till its finished. This is Hebrews BEST so far and most likelly for the future. At a low price go out and grab a few while you can.

From bottle this beer pours a nice hazy, dark brown with a foamy tan head. Aromas of toasting hops and an alcoholic fruitiness. The initial taste grabs you with a slight sweetness like maple but leads to a raisiny, toastiness. Malt, chocolate, coffee... many layers. At 11% abv this beer is exceptionally smooth and rather easy to drink. Warming to say the least. I think I’m going back for more...

This was dumped into a stem glass and pours dark black color with a thin golden head and leaves osme nice laceing along the sides of the glass. As i put my nose and take a sniff i get a roasted chocolate malt with hints of coffee with and roasted malt. As you sip on it the beer is very viscous and thick like molassas as it slides down your throat. The flavor is chock full of roasted coffee malt and chocolate. The flavor gets more and more intence with each sip as it warms up which is really nice.

Pours a ruby-hued, opaque black with a small, creamy tan head. Muted, but complex aroma of chocolate malt, caramel, berries, tabacco, cedar wood, piney resin, and raisins. The favlour displays a miriad hop and malt flavours that come together to a form a surprisingly pleasant, drinkable brewski. Chocolate, bitter espresso, citric hops, tobacco, cola, smoke, berries, and raisins with a pine-resin hop sting and caramel presence coming through in the finish. Some dated coffee and burnt sugar lingers in the aftertaste. The abv is hidden very well. The flavours are well supported by a viscous, full-body with sharp, active carbonation. I can detect grapefruit hops and some vanilla/wood as it warms and my palate adjusts. An impressive amount of lacing, considering the abv, is left.

Pour is a reddish brown with a large tan head. Aroma is dark fruit with a big strong dose of chocolate malts. Flavor is again over the top malts with a nice hop backbone. Some dark fruit and caramel linger after the swallow. This is a very heavy and thick beer, it will take you awhile to get this one down but it is very tasty and worth looking for.

This American Strong Ale pours a deep black color from a 22oz bottle. Large sized beige foamy head, with good retention and long lasting lacing. The aroma is rum, chocolate, raisins, some tobacco and leather, with a touch of piney hops. A medium to full bodied American Strong Ale. The malts are dark fruit and chocolate, with strong hints of raisins, rum and tobacco. The hops are earthy, grapefruity and piney. A very complex beer, there is a whole lot of flavors competing for the palate here; each sip is a little different. Good balance and nice carbonation. The 11% alcohol is mostly hidden; there is some significant warming going on in this beer. Great winter beer, great if its Christmas, Chanukah, Festivus or Kwanza. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet with a touch of alcohol.
