Bomber poured a clear dark brown with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of molasses, chocolate, carmel, light spice and a hint of dark fruit. Palate was full bodied and smooth. Flavors of chocolate, spice, brown sugarcarmel, pepper and a hint of dark fruit with a smooth warming malty finish.

From a 22oz. bottle--Poured a deep black-brown-amber with a wispy whitish head. Nose of sweet SWEET malts and bold hops. I never thought a beer could be too complex until I tried this one. I shared it with two other people and we couldn’t finish our share.

On tap at the Vintage Estates in Boardman Ohio, such a great place! Very nice pour, really black and fairly opaque. Has some orange tinge on the corners were the light shines thru. Big chocalte mousse head that fades to a froth after a few minutes. Nice sweet mild candy aroma with an olfactory background of floral hops. Taste is somewhat hop or malt bitter and it is pretty interesting how this brew’s taste evolves. Initially its sweet and happy, just for a nano-second, then it coats your mouth with a giant alky and near whiskey finish. Syrupy at times. Hops certainly make their impression in this brew. Bitter lingering alky hop medicinal finish, tastes just like it’s 11% rating.

Bottle. Pours dark with a medium head. Aroma is pretty roasty. The flavor is a bit boozy but that’s to be expected with the high abv. There’s more maltiness than hoppiness with burnt toffee and some espresso. pretty mediocre considering all of the ingredients used.

22 oz bomber purchased at Holiday Wine Cellar. I was on the look out for this beer since the moment I had known of its existence. Thankfully, I found it and can move on. This 11th anniversary ale is a very dark brown color and paired with a fluffy topping of tanned color foam. The nose will boast a rich roasted malt aroma and have slight signs of vanilla or perhaps coffee bean. I find a robust and creamy flavor that is strong in alcohol delivery yet subtle enough to keep sipping away at my full glass. The drink is strong similar to an Arabic coffee and brings warmth with its high ABV, but at the same time it also lacks a carrying personality in the end. Even though, I’m really happy of Hebrew for brewinf these strong ales each year and distributing them all over and not just in select markets. Nice job.

draft: ’light’ black, not much for lacing or retention. Aroma is rich hops, citrus, pine grapefruit, etc. Also darker malts like chocolate, roast and caramel. Fairly bitter with an alcoholic (in a good way) finish. Very similar to Stone 11 without an overwhelming sweetness.

Bomber. Pours a stout-like dark brown with a frothy beige head. Dark toffee to molasses malt aroma with a surprising burst of citrusy hops coming up from underneath. Notes of chocolate syrup and candied fruit as well. Flavor of slightly boozy sweet malts--toffee, cookie, dark bread--blended with citrusy and piney hops. Alcohol, hops, and maybe a bit of rye combine for a nice tingly bite on the tongue. This seems like it could be just a random experimental mash-up of malts and hops which turned out all right. I was expecting a bit of a mess here, but fortunately this doesn’t fly completely off the wall. Any unevenness is well contained by the overall girth of this one. Full bodied and finely carbonated. Great holiday brew! Budget priced and ’drunkifying’ yet still something to savor.
