| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Dec 6, 2007 Bottle. Some malty hop in the aroma, though fairly subdued. Black body with a huge, tan head. Artful lace. Prominent alcohol profile. Although not seemingly listed anywhere, I have to believe the ABU on Jewbelation 11 is pretty high. It is substantial enough to counterbalance the high alcohol and the substantial malt presence. An excellent brew that is a joy to drink and at 22 oz of 11 ABV brew, enough to put a smile on your face. masonjer (564), Holt, Michigan, USA

Flavor is intense all the way around. Big complex malts, nicely balanced hops, nice big kick on the finish. They did a good job with balance. Good beer for the holidays.
Re-rate: This beer gets another point for being different and well done. There are not very many beers out there that I can compare this too, but it tastes great and is a solid overall beer. I wish they sold sixers of it. marcus (1902), Sacramento, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 6, 2007 On tap at Toronado. This black ale poured with a thin brown head. It is very malty and sweet at first, then the hops take over and leave a bitter tingle on the palate. Taverner (888), San Ramon, California, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 4, 2007 Pours dark, candy like. Bubbles with a light brown/tan head that sticks around a little. Flavor is intense balance of hops, but strong. Intense maltiness, but not overpowering. It goes to Eleven. Speedle (262), Mid-Atlantic (Tour 2007-2008), Virginia, USA

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Nov 30, 2007 Pours a dark brown nearly black body with a healthy tan head. Huge aroma of hops and ripe fruits. Bitter coffee, raisins, sugar, vanilla. Lots going on but still impressively balanced and dangerously drinkable.. bhensonb (4384), Woodland, California, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Nov 28, 2007 Dark malt, dark fruit, and some floral hop. Near opaque brown color with a tan head that didn’t hold. Full bodied. Creamy going to fizzy carbonation. Toasted malt. Chocolate. Prune. Coffee. Oatmeal. Sweetness. Enough hop to affect one’s eyes. Can hardly detect any alcohol. The finish goes towards dry, earthy or woody notes come forth, and the bitter is about enough to balance all this stuff. Pretty darn smooth. Incredibly tasty.
