apoptosis (1316), Long Island, New York, USA Jan 16, 2008 Soapy head, dark, reddish-brown body. Strongly bitter and hoppy, but no particularly hop stands out in the flavor. One could call it well-blended or just non-distinctly hoppy, which I think is the case. I’m beginning to like distinct hop flavors in my hoppy beers, like one likes single malts scotches. This beers isn’t doing it for me.
sk8viking (6078), Copenhagen, Denmark Aug 6, 2008 Bottle. A dark red beer with a big beige head. The aroma is of yeast, dark fruits, glue and alcohol, the taste is much the same just without the glue. Medium body with a alcoholic finish. uhre (231), Denmark Aug 1, 2008 Dark with a bit of red. The aroma is of dark fruit with roasted barley and caramel. Flavor is of dark fruit, caramel and a coffee aftertaste. McGarnigle (161), Rochester, New York, USA Jul 31, 2008 Very dark. Full-bodied with soft carbonation. The aroma hints at citrus hops, but this is mostly malty. Choclatey, roasty, with dark fruits underneath. Finish kicks in with some bitter hops, but that’s relatively minor, and keeps it dry. It’s hard to do more than sip it. Good value at $5+ a bomber. KimJohansen (3026), Copenhagen V, Denmark Jul 30, 2008 Dark brown with medium dark beige head. Swwet aromaen with roasted malt, coffee and mild chocolate notes. Distinctly bitter burned finish with a huge alcohol burn. 260708
