2009-03-20. Very dark brown body with a very small tan head that fades fast. Aroma is muted, sweet malt, some nuances I can not quite pick out. Pleasant but muted. (6+) Flavour is sweet overall, rich malt has a very slight nutty/dry malt note, not a lot of bitterness means that it starts to be a touch cloying by the end. Some hop character but I find it does not do a sufficient job of balancing things overall. (6+) Smooth medium bodied palate. (3+) Decent but I didn’t really want more after a modest portion. Mild malty, dark fruit aroma. Very dark brown, small white head. Good taste - dark malt, sweet, molasses, some hops. Good but nothing really stood out.

Pours a viscous thick yellow-lighted brown beer with yellow-brownish head, fed by lively carbonation, but fast reduced to yellow rim. Strong malty, caramelly, molasses nose, with liquorice, moccha, French coffee. Liquorice grows stronger in time. Liquorice, very roasted, sweet & alcohol in the background; molasses, ketjap or waffles syrup. Warming up, apart from the liquorice imprint, also more hops appear luckily. Creamy MF, very full-bodied, alcoholwarming, chewy. Pretty impressive brew, and not unbalanced at all. My bone of dissention lies mainly in the all the same too dominant liquorice/drop thumbprint. On tap at Cole’s ïñ Buffalo. Beatiful Dark inkin colour, with very little Head and lacing. Malty sweet aroma, and wven moreso flavour. Very nice aftertaste.

bomber from marino’s in toledo. dark pour with a hint of red. could smell the prunes from a foot away. aromas of the dark fruits, malts and vanilla. first thought in the taste was of licorice and tobacco. it’s backed up with the bitter hops and finishes off with a nice smooth bitter chocolate. the texture is thin to medium and seem to fit. overall very interesting. though not to my tastes, definitely well constructed.

strong malt and prune with touch of aged grape and port flavors in this one. a bit syrupy probably a malt imbibers favorite, but sadly i am not one. nevertheless it is substantial and has good flavors, good aroma and good alcohol and could most likely make a fan out of me. i find really no other flavors to talk about regarding this particular tasting.

Almost black with dense tan head. Aroma has slight raisiny note with a hint of dog. Taste is dense and rich with deep chocolate coffee roast and a hop bite that blends into the finish with carbonation. Thick mouthfeel $5/22oz

i took twelves drinks of this jewbelation twelve twelfth anniversary twelve hop, twelve malt, twelve percent ale. pours dark and heavy with mild tan head. nose of molasses and brown sugar. first thing your mouth noticed is the thickness. then you taste raisins and sweet molasses. what you don’t taste is the 12% alcohol. my first he’brew and i’m definately impressed. nice limited brew.
