22oz bottle (Binnys Naperville)-Pours a black body with a huge tan head. Aroma of malt, sweetness, figs, and caramel. Taste begins with malt and alcohol. The alcohol lasts throughout the mouthful. This full bodied brew finishes with more maltiness. Overall, still very tasty and a little hot but another great brew from HeBrew. I dont think as good as 11.

Rich, sweet, bitter chocolate and roast aroma. Nice bottle, inky, quickly-fading head. Boozy, rum raisin flavor. Slippery mouthfeel. Alcohol sting on the finish, slight herbal/medicinal tones going away, with coffee acidity. Definitely let it warm. A big beer, for sure, but perhaps too much of a frontal assault.

Bottle. Pours black with an average, fizzy, light brown head, somewhat diminishing with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt -cookie, caramel, toffee-, average hops -perfume-, average yeast -dough, leather- with notes of prunes and dates. Full bodied, creamy texture, average carbonation, and an astringent finish. Long duration, heavy sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.

Pours dark black with a light brown head. The aroma is sweet and chocolaty. Heavy molasses taste. Smoky in texture with a presence of alcohol, but mostly well hidden. Aftertaste is slightly bitter, but I was left wanting a bit more. Solid effort, but not a slam dunk.

Terrapin & Friends beer dinner at Trappeze. Poured dark reddish brown, with a tan head. Aroma of fruit, sugar, alcohol, roasted malt. Taste is malty, fruity, booze, vanilla. Mouth is full and stickey. Finish is a little bitter and warming. Overall, a nice offering.

On tap at Ravenous Pig. Pours an opaque dark burgundy color with a whispy tan head. Aroma is of sweet sugar, apples and figs. Taste is somewhat tart, woody with some cherry notes. The finish is somewhat bitter. Very good offering from the HeBrew guys.

Bottle pours red black with minimal head and not much lace. I smell alcohol, molasses, prunes, my one a day vitamins, and malt. The flavor is dark. Damn dark. Malt. Lots of malt and sugar with some alcohol thrown in for intoxication. There are other notes too, some bitter dark chocolate, tobacco, some lactic stout, some one a day vitamins, peat, and some hops to try to even things out. Some weird vegetal undertones as it warms. Glass getting sticky... The palate is thick, but still lively. Overall, who can deny this is an interesting effort. However, not very drinkable unless you really need to have a long nap. More impressive than pleasant. More booze than beer. More harsh than refined. OK, enough of this...

Bomber. Very dark brown color with a decent tan head. Aromas of treacle and dark roast malt. Near full bodied with creamy carbonation. Flavor is treacle, with some coffee, darker fruit and dark malt. There’s some slight heat in the finish. Pretty good stuff. Will there be a 13?
