On tap at The Rake. Almsost black with a creamy espresso head. malty and earthy aroma with more molasses and chocolate in the mouth. Heavy duty malt impact. Full-bodied and soft. Highly enjoyable.

Pours a dark brown with tan head. Aroma of roasted malt and dark fruit, some hops. Similar taste. Very boozy and thick. Enjoyable strong ale

Rating number 99!!! One hundred is next. Butters 6th Cellar Reduction tasting. Strong ale of striking complexity. Roasted malts with molasses and brown sugar. A little resiny. Raisiny too. Heavy but I like the way it handles the heavy alcohol.

Bottle shared at the 6th Cellar Reduction. Pours very dark near black with mahogany highlights and small ring in tan head. Nose of dark rum soaked fruits and brown sugar. Flavor is about the same with a bit of a hop bitterness in the finish. Very good and complex but melded together quite nicely. Hides the alcohol as well. Kinda like drinking syrup

Pours a tan head with legs and a deep brown-amber body. Smells of brown sugar. Flavor is toast and brown sugar. Finish is brown sugar and bitter.

22 oz. bottle that I received as a birthday gift. Pours a very dark brown that only allows light to pass along the edges. Moderate, creamy tan head that lasted through the first third of the glass and left partial lace. Pleasant aroma of roasted malt and brown sugar. Very flavorful with rich malt, brown sugar, molasses and raisins. Medium bitterness and somewhat boozy at the finish. Very good.

Nice malty aroma coupled with hops. Appearance is a dark brown with a tan head. Roasted malt flavor is apparent along with a generous amount of hop bitterness.
