Jun 19, 2009 Nice dark brown, almost black color. Has a nice dark brown head also. Smells of malts, hops, chocolate, with hints of coffee and molasses. Taste is full of flavor! I taste malts, chocolate, and hops. Has a nice bitter aftertaste. This is a pretty good one.

Jun 16, 2009 "Thick sticky dark brown cap floating on top a dark, dark, dark, dark, dark, dark brown body that no light can escape from, looks good but different for the style. Aroma is yummy and porterish. Coffee and dark sweet malts is make up most of the aroma. Taste is bitter , pears, chocolate are the two most noticeable flavours. Creamy and medium bodied with light carbonation. Lots of rich roasted malts are coming through now. The 12% isn’t noticeable except for the overly warm stomach. Some metallic is showing up in the finish now. the after taste is surprisingly clean but a low amount of coffee does linger. This is the lightest heavy beer I’ve ever drank if that makes any sense.

Jun 15, 2009 Bottle. Thanks to Dempa. Dark brown colour. Roasted malt, hops, alcohol, molasses, chocolate, wood, saltiness, licorice. Bitter and roasted finish. Almost Imperial Stout like.

Jun 14, 2009 Bottle. Pours a deep dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma of sweet malts, dark fruit, caramel, molasses, and has a hint of chocolate. Flavor was creamy smooth and malty with dark fruit,dark chocolate, molasses, caramel and notes of raisins with a medium body. Decent brew

Jun 11, 2009 made entirely out of popsicle sticks! .. . sweet cereals with some soy .. smooth stuff . . no heat .. . dark sugars and molasses .. you yell "come on in" .. .Good head ring, not a bad brew but lacks invention ..hello! boom! ..sorry AL.

Jun 9, 2009 On tap at The Rake. Almsost black with a creamy espresso head. malty and earthy aroma with more molasses and chocolate in the mouth. Heavy duty malt impact. Full-bodied and soft. Highly enjoyable.

Jun 8, 2009 Rating number 99!!! One hundred is next. Butters 6th Cellar Reduction tasting. Strong ale of striking complexity. Roasted malts with molasses and brown sugar. A little resiny. Raisiny too. Heavy but I like the way it handles the heavy alcohol.
