Commercial Description:
Contract brewed for Schmaltz Brewing Company. A deep, bold nut brown ale beautifully balanced with rich dark malts and a complex hop character converging to reveal a simply enchanting elixir.

Poured a clear dark chestnut brown with a small tan head. There was an aroma of roasted malt, a slight sweetness and a hint of chocolate. The flavor was of earthy malt with a dry and slightly bitter finish.

Nice brown color and not a lot of head. Fairly smooth and drinkable. Nutty flavor and mild aftertaste. Decent overall, but not outstanding.

brown pour, small tan head. Malty, nutty, and pumpernickel aromas. Flavor is malty and pretty watery. I am not impressed with this brewery again.

A Mes rate: bottle at Beer Exposed.
Mahogany coloured with a very thin off white head. Full of roasted malt with a light smoky, almost ashy note. Faint nutty chocolate finish. not much going on but it’s drinkable enough.

Not impressed. Smooth, but lacking flavor and character. A brown ale, but really nothing definitive.

Brown with a thin off-white head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, nuts and caramel. Taste is nutty with caramel and mild roasted malt to go along with it. Bitter nutty finish.

Bottle. Dark deep brown with a thin off-white head. Malty aroma with some bread. Flavor is mild to be called "bold". Mudled, not bad but not great.
