Feb 22, 2008 Bottle: Poured a very dark brown almost black color with a thin film like light brown head. Aroma is semi sweet. Dark chocolate taste to it medium bitter aftertaste.

Feb 17, 2008 purchased at 99 bottles in federal way, washington.
pour is a dark brown with red tint, medium size beige head, good lacing.
smell is a touch of cocoa, touch of coffee, brown sugar, spiced rum, caramel, nuts.
taste is too carbonated, tart, thin feel, roasted nuts, spice, some caramel.
overall it looks and smells better than it tastes.

Feb 16, 2008 Nov. 2006 - Dark as night pour with only slight reddish highlights around the edge. Quickly dissipating head with little lacing. Strong roasted aroma. Rich, full bodied flavor...a touch of caramel along with roasted malts, chocolate and sweet maltiness. Dry mouthfeel. This was one bold, rich brown ale that was anything but a boring example of a boring style. Very good!

Feb 13, 2008 Looks like cola. Nose is nice, sweet malts. Taste is like an uninspired swartzbier. Thin, roasty, and smooth. Not horrible, just forgettable. A miss from my hometown.

Feb 12, 2008 It’s brown all right. Blackish with a big rocky head. Sweet medicine aroma. Coffee, chocolate and old wet half burned campfire coals that were put out last week. Yes, is a big beer for a brown ale, comes across much stronger than the 5.5% listed here would indicate. A little too much for my lager loven taste buds. Nice to try.

Feb 11, 2008 Totally unimpressed. I have tried Jewbulation and liked it a lot, so I was hoping to also be happy with this brew. Well, not so. Everything about this one is plain and average. No deepness, complexity, or dark malt flavor. I will try more HeBrew though, because I know they are capable of better. This one was just not for me.
