May 26, 2009 Bottled Evening Star Brighton. A very dark brown coloured beer with a tiny off white head. The aroma is hoppy with nuts malt and caramel notes, but there’s hint of cardboard too. The taste is all of the above but the hops are more pronounced and dominate the previous sweetness. Not the best US brown but still drinkable.

May 17, 2009 Bottle Pours a brown with thin off white head. The lacing is pretty good. Aroma is of lightly roasted malts and nuts. Has a good carbonation. The flavor is light but not bad. Has a sweet creamy taste. Has a light body and a slick texture. The finish is okay and the aftertaste is quick doesn’t hang around a lot. I did not expect a lot from this beer. It is not great but it is not bad either.

May 4, 2009 This poured a medium to dark brown with an off white head. Aroma was midly roasted malts mainly and not much else, a bit subdued. Flavor was slightly roasted malts, some toffee and caramel. A decent beer, but not nutty enoguh for my tastes to be a good brown.

Apr 13, 2009 Bottle. Pours dark brown with a thin off white head. Mild hops on the nose and sugars. The malts come across more as simple sugars and less as complex caramel roast. A bit nutty. Not bad, but mild and too sweet.

Apr 7, 2009 A clear brown color. Nutty aroma and a nut forward flavor. Hint of caramel in the background working. Not sure if it is the style here that is not so exciting or the fabrication of said elixir that leaves me a little wanting, either way I am reaching for something else a little more satisfying.

Apr 3, 2009 12 oz bottle from World Market; Nose of nuts, caramel with a maple twinge. Clear brown with a medium glass-lacing head. Flavor has a little peppriness, caramel, toffee, and a hint of bitterness. Actually a decent brown, beats the hell out of Newcastle!
