12 oz bottle from World Market; Nose of nuts, caramel with a maple twinge. Clear brown with a medium glass-lacing head. Flavor has a little peppriness, caramel, toffee, and a hint of bitterness. Actually a decent brown, beats the hell out of Newcastle!

Translucent darker brown with some red when held to the light. Head was small light tan. Aroma of some spices, nut and very light hop? Not much really. Same with the flavor. This was a really weak beer with not a whole lot to say about it. Maybe this bottle went bad?

Deep mahogany/brown in color, smells of chocolate and nuts. taste not very flavorful leading to a very bitter finish. Overall glad I tried it but it won’t make my regular beer rotation.

On tap @ Coles, Buffalo NY. Nice roasty aroma, dark chocolate. Pours a full deep brown. Taste is nutty , caramel followed up by a harsh sour tartness. Hopefully just a bad keg

I have never tried this brewery before and I thought I had read that it had great beers. This isn’t one of them. Lacked in flavor. Maltiness was very faint. Reminds me of Saranac brewery.

Bottle. Pours clear mahogany with a lacy but scant tan head. The aroma is light, a bit nutty, with hints of caramel and chocolate. And a little alcohol. Medium body and fairly active carbonation. A bit of chocolate in the taste, then the lightly bitter finish shows up, along with some light acidity. Underwhelming.

Bottle. Pours brown with a cream head. Smells of chocolate, caramel, and coffee. Fairly smooth on the palate. Taste is same as smell. A decent beer.

Bottle 355 ml
Appearance: clear mid brown with midsized creamy contrasting top. Some lace shown 4-
Nose: Initial strong hint of brown malts , fudge and chocolate. Finish of brown malts with molasses.
Flavor/Palate : Medium full bodied with soft texture. Brown malts with grainy roast. Slight bitterness . Very straight forward with lightly off centre finish. Some hop bite would help . Toasty plain brown ale.
