Feb 7, 2004 A deep red beer with a fine but disappearing head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of roasted bread. The flavor is dominated by roasted malt with notes of wood and cowberries, before it ends on a dry note. It has a nice palate.

Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, light chocolate. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20090801]

Jan 17, 2008 Dark mahogany color. Aroma of caramel, roasted nuts, wet soil. The mouthfeel is quite dry, with a strong dark caramel taste and some roasted and chocolate malt. Bitter but without hop quality. Unimpressive.
