Nothing exclusive or complex, it just tastes like a stout, and it is one of those instances where you are waiting to finish so you can try something else of quality. Deep and dark in the color, with a light brown head, very musky and oily, with a very unspeakable finish and extremely dry. Volgon (2489), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA

Although opaque, brown black, and displaying a light brown head, this stout is quite mellow. The nose was of chocolate and malt - a little sweet - and the mouth tasted of bittersweet chocolate, nuts, and caramel. Very little sharpness and not very dry. Not much of the "bitterness" distinctive of excessive use of Black Patent Malt, just enough for the dark color; very slight roastiness, almost imperceptible - perhaps a porter? Big ass tan head. Pretty, clear mahogany color. Nose is malty slightly sour. Medium body. Some laceing left behind. Slight maltiness and some roastiness. Not alot to talk about. Kind of a lite stout. Finish is dry and thin. Probably overrated it. P-tor44 (886), Anchorage, Alaska, USA
