Think Imperial Stout here people. Aroma of grapes, and spices. Flavor is kind of confusing, sweet, roasted, light. Weird. Not really sure what to think of this one. Thanks to JahNoth for letting me try this! DragonStout (1380), Pataskala, Ohio, USA

Toasted grain and chocolate dominate the aroma. Taste is malty with some coffee notes and nuts. Body is mostly a syrup consistancy. dirtymike (2018), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 6, 2005 03.06.05 Bomber bottle. Deep burgundy color with a soapy tan head fading to a ring of bubbles and wispy tan film. Vinous aromas, raisin, hints of chocolate, plum, lightly nutty, very nice. Flavors are mild, lightly roasty and nutty, more vinous, and grassy. Maybe some rye tasted? Maybe some concorde grape on nose? The ecclectic mix of hops makes for an interesting flavor profile while the varied malts blend for a good base, if thin. A very tasty brew and a nice surprise. I am also slightly congested with a bit of a cold today. Gusler (2655), Tucson, Arizona, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 6, 2005 The beer after its disembarking the 22-ounce brown bottle sets in the glass a deep ruby-brown color with a Bunyanesque sized frothy light brown head that every so slowly dissipates leaving a thick blanket of lace to obfuscate the glass. Nose is lightly toasted grain, sweet malt, fresh and clean to the senses; start is nicely malted, somewhat sweet with the top light to moderate in its feel to the palate. Finish is persistent in its carbonation and the hops forthright in their spiciness, quite dry aftertaste that lingers long on the palate, certainly worth a sample. SoLan (1426), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 3, 2005 Black pour, no head. Looks serious. Malts and hops dominate the aroma, with a bit of sweetness and roastedness at the same time. Tough to pin-point anything specific. Lighter body than expected by the appearance, still medium/full. Taste of roasted malt, coffee, hops, sweet. Like somebody just threw together a bunch of ingredients and made a beer with them. I like it though, a little bit different taste with every drink.
