Pours out a dark brown color with a small head. Aroma is that of roasted malt and a bit of fruit maybe. Flavor is fairly bitter and no dectection of the alcohol in this brew. i like this one. from what i drank from this brewery, they seem to be solid.

22oz bottle. Very dark brown. light tan head. appearance of syrupy malt. aroma of heavy roasted malt, some chocolate, oak/vanilla, and a little alcohol. Flavor of rich malt, caramel, and some dark chocolate flavored coffee (without milk). Sharp bitterness deep in the palate. Very balance...Alcohol is hidden. This is a typical American Strong.

monster of a malt that oddly appealed to this hop head! hop character is diffused but strong.a brandy cask strong ale with a hint of choco/cherry input that is classy. good mouthfeel and creamy/smooth alcohol is medium in it’s intensity. touch of smoke infused again with style. it’s got what a beer snob wants. malty and full of body. phil you are the embodiament of a true gentleman.

Bottle: Nearly black, moderate beige head, foamy, decent lacing.   Strong malty nose, not so much roasted as it is soy like, with hints of fig and plum.   This one seems very heavy.   Also bready in the whole wheat 7 grain sense.   Very heavy breadiness on the tongue, thick, rich, almost cloying in the heaviness.   Like other Hebrew strong ales, it can be hard to choke down at times.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   Rough bready finish, moderate hop bitterness, remaining Uber-Bready.   These malt bomb strong ales from Hebrew just don’t impress me.   They are just too hard to finish off a bomber by ones self.

Bottle. Poured dark brown color with a large frothy brown head that lasted and produced excellent lacing. Moderate complex toasted malt, chocolate and bread aroma. Medium to full body with a sticky texture. Heavy balanced bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of long duration. This is a standout beer.

A wonderful beer that steals from so many different styles that I guess it can only be categorized as an American strong. We thought it could be a porter or old ale or strong ale. Lots of caramel and quite sweet, this is really something special that I could have plenty more of.

From a 22 oz. bomber bottle with a humorous blurb along the left side of label, stored at cellar temperature and allowed to warm up before sampling in a snifter. Poured a reddish hued milk chocolate brown with a frothy, foamy, bubbly topped tan head, good retention, small amount of sticking. A pretty light nose, not as strong as I expecting, everything is pretty faint for a strong ale, chocolate, caramel, rye, slightly tannic, vanilla, and minty herbal. Good moderate carbonation and a crisp, dry, silky slick, creamy smooth medium bodied mouthfeel. Nice malty taste, cocoa, caramel, earthy coffee, seedy rye, leather tannic, a light fruitiness, plums and sweet apricots, the alcohol has a estery flavor and provides a low warmth in the palate, licorice comes out towards the end along with minty herbs, the hop bitterness is softly lingering, and a dry minty, licorice, coffee and chocolate malty finish. Not bad for a strong ale, for my personal taste, with too many ingredients, but still, worth trying.
