| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Oct 24, 2007 The beer after its release from the 22-ounce bottle sets in the glass a deep mahogany color with strong ruby highlights portly light tan creamy head that slowly dissipates leaving a thick coating of lace to conceal the glass the glass. Nose is lightly toasted grain, sweet malt, caramel and the flowery hops peek through; start is nicely malted, somewhat sweet with the top moderate in its feel. Finish is sternly acidic with the hops monumentally spicy, quite dry aftertaste that last a long time on the taste buds.
