| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 12, 2007 Bottle. Dark brown in colour with a tan and somewhat creamy head. Malty and sweet with notes of toffee, caramel, dark dried fruit and alcohol. sheatripper (863), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 9, 2007 Bomber. Dark brown pour with a beige, somewhat frothy head. Aroma of dark toffee and molasses with some dark dried fruit (prune, raisin), boozy notes and a dose of hops. A foundation of dark and sweet toffee/molasses malts pound up against earthy hops, with flavors of plum pudding, coffee, fig, and charred leaf underneath. Big alcohol and hop profiles combine to create a sharp black peppery finish. This might do well with some aging? Overall pretty good for a $5 strong ale bomber from the supermarket. blklab2007 (964), Connecticut, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 3, 2007 Pours a dark brown with a small white head. Smells very fruity, dark berries, plums, dark malts, and a little spice too. Very fruity. The taste has a nice little bite to it. i get that 10% alcohol right off the bat. Still pretty fruity, but you get some caramel and roasty malts as well. Kind of balances out the fruit pretty nicely. The alcohol is ever so present in the finish. The aftertaste has a slight bitterness to it, a little bit nutty, malty, and slightly sweet. good brew. mcbackus (750), Merritt Island, Florida, USA
