dwyerpg (2065), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA May 3, 2007 A wonderful beer that steals from so many different styles that I guess it can only be categorized as an American strong. We thought it could be a porter or old ale or strong ale. Lots of caramel and quite sweet, this is really something special that I could have plenty more of. Eladerman (48), Newburgh, Indiana, USA Mar 23, 2007 This brew will bring a lesser man to his knees!! Plain and simple a VERY complex beer similar to an imperial stout but better with more hop finish- EXCELLENT Brew!! nearbeer (1235), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Dec 9, 2007 Updated: Dec 14, 2007750 ml, at about 60 F. Nearly opaque brown-black with a medium-sized and lasting head that leaves some frosty lace. Chocolate, raisin, and caramel aroma. Flavors of earthy and slightly sour molasses, fudge, toasted nut, slight charred wood and a hint of cherry are among the many flavors in this chewy beer. Big chocolate and malt presence is dried well by bitter-herb hops on the end, and just a touch of alcohol. Heavy, smooth body has some hop and alcohol tingle. Awesome brew, truly monumental. Only got better after being open (I put a cork in it) for 5 days, had to bump it up a point, even. ElGaucho (1721), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Feb 16, 2007 Bottle. Dark chocolate malt aroma with a very nice hop presence. Opaque with good sized light tan head and excellent lace. High alcohol profile with considerable hop presence. Has some qualities similar to an imperial stout. Dates, plums, molasses. Outstanding. A true winner and very underrated. kulmes (6), Nottingham, Maryland, USA does not count Dec 19, 2007 Very good beer. Dark roasted chocolate flavors, very nice smooth mouth feel, similar to a strong smooth stout.
I like this better than their Jewbelation Eleven. I had both of these on Tap at <a href="http://www.maxs.com">Max’s.
