t4h2c0 (44), seattle, USA Oct 29, 2007 I love these anniversary beers matching hops, malts, and ABV by the anniversary year. Good malt/hop balance. Very strong and flavorful. Might age well, I think I will try it. Another kick ass anniversary beer from Hebrew!!!!!!
ScottB (32), Jacksonville, Florida, USA Jun 29, 2008 Wow. Big and complex. Huge chocolate/malt nose follows through in the mouth and is nicely complimented by notes of dark fruit. The hops deliver a nice tanginess at the end. Finish is slightly sweet, creamy, and very pleasant. This is a good beer. SuperDave70 (605), Arizona, USA Jun 23, 2008 Pours a dark amber-brown with a big foamy brown head. Lots of roasted and caramel malts in the aroma, as well as chocolate, spice and hops. Similar flavor. Lots going on in this one, but it is kept nicely balanced. Feels nice on the palate. A nice hoppiness on the finish as well as a touch of alcohol.. A very good brew. Dorwart (1585), Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA Jun 8, 2008 Good sized brown head of fine bubbles. Settles nice and slowly. Rich and chocoalty aroma. Lots of sweet malts, toated grains, caramel and a bit of pepper??? Color is a very dark chocolaty brown. Sweet and malty flavor. The hops presence has certainly dwindled since it is not very prominent at all. Little bit too sweet. Lots of roasted grains and unfortunately a little bit flat on the tongue. Finishes oily and malts with a bit of lingering smoke. Another solid brew from HeBrew. This one may have been a little bit better fresher. dolemite77 (137), Maryville, Tennessee, USA Jun 5, 2008 Shalom--- 10 malts 10 hops... wow. Pours a dark chestnut brown with a huge brown head. This is a full bodied beer if there ever was one. Aroma is sweetish, with tons of malt... rye bread... toasty caramel. Flavor is heavy on the malt, but there is a subdued hoppieness to this that peaks through more on the finish. I will definitely seek out to pick up more of this big beer. TURDFERGUSON (967), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA May 19, 2008 Bottle shared by emacgee. Thanks Ethan. Poured a deep ruby brown with and nice tan head. Nose was nice with rich caramel malts, toffee, chcolate, and a bit of sweet oxidation. Flavor was equally malty and oxidized with notes of cocoa, earth, caramel, and some light hops still kicking around. Alcohol was very well hidden. I think this may have been awesome around Christmas time but it was still in pretty good shape a few weeks back when I had it.
