Rich pomegranate flavor and maltiness balanced well. Nice smooth, creamy texture. I enjoyed this more than I was expecting to. juiceisloose (678), Windermere, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 4, 2008 This one poured a cloudy amber color with a small off white head. The aroma was of citrus hops, a touch of malts, and some pomegranate as well. The flavor was a touch sweet from the malts with the pomegranate flavors coming through with some hop bitterness on the back end. The fruit flavors come through more as the beer warms up, but nothing crazy. The mouthfeel is medium body that has a slight bitter finish from the hops. This was ok, but nothing to get excited over. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 4, 2008 This starts off great with a nice appearance of cloudy medium amber that throws up a tall long lasting off white head.
Some fruit in the aroma along with some malt.
Sweet malt flavor along with a strange fruitiness.
This isn’t bad, but it just doesn’t pull together well. Sammy (4065), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 2, 2008 Thanks for sharing, Radek. Light orange colour with a white head. Malty and hoppy, with a creamy though far from full, and sour juicy finish. The taste is orangey, and metallic lagery. An odd sourness. RblWthACoz (963), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 2, 2008 Sampled on-tap. Pours a foggy amber. Nose is ripe with pomegranate. This is what a fruit beer should taste like. I feel like I am eating a pomegranate. The sweet combined with the bitter. Add into that the beer factor. Strong ale characters come into play with a slightly hoppy profile that seems mild at first and picks up quickly after that. Robust and full. Feel has a good carbonation to it and a smooth liquid feel. Very drinkable. There is just a touch of bitter that seems to detract from the overall experience, but that could easily be from natural pomegranate flavors.
While at The Blind Tiger I overheard some girl/woman exclaim: "I had the Origins and it doesn’t taste like pomegranate at all!" Woman. What the hell are you talking about? thedm (3836), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 1, 2008 This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of foamy bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a hazy typically carbonated brown colored body and a fair lacing. The aroma was hoppy floral mild malt and nutty. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The yummy flavor contained notes of malt mild hops and nutty. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again. tomthompson89 (1494), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Feb 1, 2008 hazy amber color, decnet white head, nose is fruity and boozy, with a little hops in there as well, definate pom on the nose too. some caremel malts and the pom flavor does come through but i find the alcohol is too strong, and a bit of dry hop finish.not sure really what i think of this one?? Appearance: Clear amber with small froth (ring) on top 2+ Nose : Green hops with sweet malts, light fruity over notes (pomms). Clean and refreshing. Flavor/Palate : Front high on carbonation , medium bodied .sweet malt character . Green refreshing hop presence is welcome. Fruity hints but amber ale is the main frame here. Late warmth present. In short neat hoppy ale.
