Flavor matches the aroma - sweet pomegranate malt with a mild hops finish. Nice tasting - pomegranate unique but otherwise average. LilKem (1210), Marietta, Ohio, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 13, 2007 some grenadine (yes it really is made of pomegranate), some wheaty flavors, and some soybeans. mix this with hints of honey and vanilla and raspberry and you’ve got this beer. malty and bland for the amount of fruit in it but worth trying. pantani (1900), Salinas, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 12, 2007 Body is a amber color, thin white head. Aroma is lightly alcoholic, fruit, light caramel. Taste has more alcohol taste then you’d think, fruity, not really a definitive pom taste to it, lightly spicey. AleDrinker (1090), Sunnyvale, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 11, 2007 Pours copper with a thin head. Mild carbonation. Aroma is of caramel malt and berries. Flavor is lots of caramel malt, lots of bitterness (very unexpected), and a fruit juice finish. I like this fruit beer because the fruit flavor is not way over the top like most. Mild fruit flavor (doesn’t really taste like pomegranate, just berries really). Not bad... for a fruit beer. SoLan (1417), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 11, 2007 Clear amber/copper. 2cm frothy, off white head. Aroma of bubble gum, tropical berry like fruit, rich malt backgroung- sweet nose. Flavor has lots of fruit and bitter resinous hops with a solid malt backbone, a little too sweet. Full body, balanced carbonation, lightly syrupy. Decent. Gromit (461), Port Orchard, Washington, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 9, 2007 I’ve liked other offerings from this brewery so I thought I’d give this a shot. I’m glad I did.
Pours a cloudy amber with a decent head. Aroma is of an amber with some toasted notes floating around.
Flavor is a cross between an amber with a bit of Flemish sour. More like an amber, but it’s definately got some sour going on. I wouldn’t call it a "fruit beer," though, by a long shot, even though there’s definately a strong pomegranate flavor to it.
Palate is sour/sharp and definately not cloying like most fruit beers. Overall this is quite good and definately worth giving a try.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 9, 2007 Medium amber, nice head, clear, attractive. Aroma strongly of caramel malt with a touch of roastiness. No roast in the mouth though. Flavor is lots of caramel malt, living up to the "Imperial Amber" claim made on the bottle, an odd slightly sour citric note that I imagine comes from the pomegranate, and a clear, unmasked shot of hot alcohol. Some hop bitterness on the finish. As it warms, the citric flavor is almost totally overhwhelmed. Not bad, but the elements of this beer just didn’t seem to quite come together. Thus ends my string of two consecutive pomegranate beers. TheBeerLover (1019), DC Metro Area, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 8, 2007 22 oz bomber. Pours to a slightly hazy amber color, with a tall, white head, that slowly fades, and a nice carbonation. The nose on this beer is very inviting, with lots of good fruity/pomegranate aromas, paired with some citrus hop aromas, and some caramel malt sweetness. You really smell the pomegranate is this beer, and it is very enjoyable. The palate is firm, with good pale and caramel malt flavors, paired with a nice fruity/pomegranate back ground. This beer finishes with more good malt, and pomeranate flavor, then ends with some a very bitter hop bite that lingers. This beer is a very unique, interesting beer, and the use of pomegranate is a nice addition to this beer. The hop bitterness in the finish seems to clash with the pomegranate flavor, and rather than balance, it gives the beer a harsh smack of bitterness that doesn’t really work with the malty/fruity nature of this beer. I would have like less bitterness in the finish. That being said, it is a good beer to try, and is dangerously drinkable at 8% abv.
