The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, dusty hops, alcohol, and over ripe fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of fruits - citrusy, malt, and caramel, leading to a bitter finish with notes of pomegranates. Papsoe (14997), Frederiksberg, Denmark

Clear medium orange amber color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to light light heavy hoppy, grapefruit, orange, fruity notes - must be the pomegrante !! not that I can spot it without reading the label. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090801] oh6gdx (8855), Vasa, Finland

clear orange, fine off white head, touch of lace, sweet malt and tart fruit aroma with light earthy hops, fruity flavor with a nice tartness, balanced with some earthy bitterness, brewed with pomegranate, a bit too dry with the tart fruit but otherwise a nice complex character, interesting but the least favorate of the special series

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 29, 2008 Reddish-orange colour with a little bit of haze and a light head. Big fresh whole grain aroma with a big splash of pomegranate, plus herbal and chocolatey nuances. Soft body bears lush malts, an evenhanded bitterness, herbal hops, whole grain bagels and again a distinct but understated pomegranate accent. The crystal malt chewiness builds on the palate, however, and this tends to become overwhelming before the glass is half done.
