Magic_dave6 (4010), London, Greater London, England Dec 6, 2007 3 Judges. Aroma is green apple skins, hints of sweet and sour vinigar. Taste is similar quite a bit of vinigar, alright however too much vinigar. SHIG (1547), Oberoffligen, Germany Dec 5, 2007 Cask 3 Judges Ultimate Glasgow tasting afters pub crawl: Poured a hazy blonde with white head. Sour apple aroma. The taste was Alkaseltzers and apples. Aarleks (402), Sydney, Australia May 18, 2006 Bottle: Pretty solid ’apples in a barn’ aromas coming form this. I really liked it. Lots of funky straw, some heady estery stuff, and a lovely autumnal apple background that smelt like crisp weak sunshine. Yummm. In the mouth there were initially some slightly harsh mineral notes. These dissipated after a couple of minutes though. After that I was left with very gentle, cooling apple flavours, some volotile alcohols, and a pleasant sourness. Very pleasant. chris_o (4409), London, Greater London, England Dec 12, 2005 From the barrel at GBBF, August 2005. Curiously, while the Hecks perry was very traditional and uncompromising compared to other perries, the cider was decidedly on the sweet side, soft and easy drinking. Not one of Hecks’ more distictive offerings. More confusion about the name as the programme listed two single varietals - Balls Seedling and Loyal Drain, but neither those was in evidence and this was just marked "Medium" so best put it here.
Nekronos (1946), Xalapa, Mexico Nov 23, 2005 Updated: Feb 12, 2006Good, but a little pale, it was 6.5%, but anyway. It was sweet but a little alcoholic. BUt not tiring at all.
