This is definitely a "value" beer, but a good one at that.
At around $3.75 for a 6-pack of tall boys, Old Style Light is a light, easy-drinking beer. There is nothing offensive about the aroma, appearance or palate, although like many ’light’ beers, the flavor is pale and is best served cold. But compared to its similarly-priced peers in the cooler (High Life, Busch, Icehouse, etc.) the lower calories cut down on the heavy corn-brew tang. Add to that, Old Style Light is more "authentic" in Chicagoland than Pabst, and available on tap at Wrigley Field, to boot! Overall, a very affordable and drinkable domestic option where you can find it. guyinchicago (526), marengo, Illinois, USA

| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Nov 9, 2007 A typical light beer. Nothing exciting in here. I hope you are not looking for excitement from a light beer, but anyway………… Light pee yellow in color, small thin white head that fades quickly. Light sweet corn aroma with a geriatric little hop. As expected it is thin on the palate with a grainy watery, slightly sweet finish. Very little flavor in this fizzy beverage. BustedFlat (553), Edina, Minnesota, USA

| 1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 1/10 | 2/5 | 1/20 | Sep 25, 2007 Had this beer on 6/6/2007. Aroma is a faint sweet malt scent. Color is a light gold light carbonation and a thin head. Taste is lie water. Starts with a very light body and goes down easy then finishes with a faint pils like taste. It just has no flavor. I would rather go horribly thirsty than to put a mouthful of this down the hatch.
Curse the Cubs for making this their official beer.
If I could give a negative rating, this would warrant one. naivepegasus (183), USA

Smells like any generic, really cheap light lager. Probably because it IS. Tastes like water, but there’s a tiny hint of an aftertaste that might resemble beer. Not good, but I can’t hate it because it reminds me of Cubs games and red plastic cups.
