Well, I use to drink these 20oz at a time (for $2) at Wrigley Field. So, I’d have one just for memories’ sake. Watery, yellow pale lager. Not much hop or malt. Apparently those things don’t sell to the masses.

its been a while since i had an oldstyle. it reminds me of cubs games and my dad basting the pork roast on the bbq when i was a kid. had it out of 12 oz. can. yellow straw in color. has that distinct spice hop aroma and flavor that seperates them from the othr macros. somewhat high carbonation. malt character is very small. enjoyed a couple just for the memories, but probably will be a while til i crack open another one.

I kinda like this beer, but kinda dislike it at the same time. It smells better than it tastes, it tastes better than the aftertaste, and it’s a Chicago Tradition (kind of like "Fire-Brewed" Strohs used to be a Detroit Tradition). I always have one when I go to Wrigley, which isn’t very often. BTW, what is "Krauzening" and how do you spell it? I wonder if they brew the stuff from Chicago city water, seems to taste a bit like the south side of the city smells. Still cheap enough price to make one not feel guilty about buying it.

bottle - It’s very simple. This beer is yet another pale yellow, light malt and adjunct smelling, mild malt and adjunct tasting, thin, watery pale lager. So does a beer actually having taste mean it’s "pretentious"?

Had a 40oz of this stuff at a BBQ, and it was not half bad. Slightly malty with little in terms of flavor. Easy to drink.

Heard about this one for years and finally got to try it on a trip through the Midwest. Whether it was the heghtened anticipation or the genuine lack of flavor and quality, it was a letdown. Thin, scarcely qualifying as a beer at all.

Light, unpretentious (duh!), almost not worthy of mention. I love how all the FIBs drink it at Cubs games, paying what, $6.50 a cup, pretending not to be pretentious.

on tap at wrigley field. this followed becks and heinenkin and this really showed it’s huge flaws. very watery, bland, and tastes like nothing. this is one crappy beer. bring on those lying, pretentious beers please.
