Had two of these while at the Cubs/Giants game with dad and friends. Hop crispness balanced by some malt sweetness. The best stuff on tap at the ballpark. Did what it did, kept me refreshed.

I'm not ashamed to say I'm drinking this right now. Growing up on the South Side of Chicago this was always around. Very functionaly that way. Dried rice nose. Fizzy and sits oddly in the back of the throat sort of coating almost burning. Disappears fast. All it needs is a Brat and a softball!

Been to LaCrosse and the worlds biggest Six Pack. Good college beer, not expensive on the wallet and doesn't taste cheap. Its a shame this one went under I really liked this beer. Oktoberfest in LaCrosse was crazy back in my day.

Thanks to Darkover for bringing Old Style into my life. I'm not really sure what this beer is trying to achieve, as it tastes like macro tripe. Why try to carve out your own niche by tasting just like any of the myriad offerings from Bud/Miller/Coors? Anyway the beer is a clear fizzy gold with a thin white head. Aroma of barely-there hops. Light bodied and crisp with a watery hops flavor. The finish is thankfully not nasty. Avoid.

You are kidding me! I drank over 600 beers and forgot to rate OLD STYLE!!! Well, there is no denying it, this is simply a horrific attempt at a beer. However, is there really anything better than sitting in the stands of beautiful Wrigley Field watching the Cubs get their asses kicked and screaming "OLD STYLE!!!" at the top of your lungs to the beer man and then shelling out $6 for 16 ounces of this piss water? That alone gives it 4 points in my book.

Canned. I got a sixer to compare it to LaCrosse Lager, which is now being microbrewed in the original Old Style brewery. Even without a comparison, I could tell this was the loser. Corny taste among other adjuncts at work. Although there is... wait a minute... a hint of hops and yeasty lager taste poking through at the end. So not totally beyond redemption. Better than crappy Budweiser. Guess that’s why Wrigley Field switched to Bud: bad team, bad beer. Slight re-rate, Nov. 03: I moved it up a notch after having another, and finding it still does what it does best: get you happy in a hurry.

Better than many other megaswill beers. Sweeter than many others, corn adjunct evident, decent body for the style, some hops evident.

One of my "When In Rome" beers....I drink it whenver I visit Chicago. Has a bad smell but it's really not too bad.
