BBB63 (3810), La Porte, Indiana, USA Apr 30, 2008 Bottle and served in pint glass: Pale straw hue with a fading fizzy head and spotty lace. The aroma has notes of noble grassy hops, cardboardy grains, hint of minerals, and some DMS. The taste is almost non-existent, some very light hop acidic (not bitterness mind you) and grain then followed by an adjunct twangy finish. The mouth feel is fizzy and damn near could be carbonated water, not so nice metallic finish. All you need to know is the beer is not served in it’s home country. If I had a choice between this, Bud Light, and water then I think I would be drinking water. (At least my bottle was not skunked!)
borgination (90), Lee, Massachusetts, USA Sep 28, 2008 Pours a light gold, with an impressive head. Fairly light, with a Heineken taste. If you like Heineken, then this is the light beer for you. pineypower (892), Pine Barrens, New Jersey, USA Sep 19, 2008 Had at my friend’s house out of one of those mini kegs. Pours out piss yellow with a little white head. Aroma was of pretty much nothing, sweet corn was about it. Taste totally bland, thankfully not skunked like most Heineken usually is(due to the mini keg). Like thinned out corn syrup with hops that are very well hidden....just plain bad. fordest (1778), Santee/San Diego, California, USA Sep 8, 2008 Out with some friends, and was lucky enough to find something I hadn’t tried. Did I just say I was Lucky? hmmm....? jkaiser (114), USA Sep 6, 2008 Not offensive in any way. Just light and lagerish. Tiny bite of hops, no malt anywhere. Good for lite banter with friends.
good nite heine lite. dmtroyer (370), Harrisonburg, Virginia, USA Sep 1, 2008 mmmmm.... the dutch are good at fooling americans into thinking they actually drink this beer. smells like cannabis, tastes like corn to me, borderline offensive.
