Gpnterojd (132), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada Mar 12, 2008 Pours clear gold with a yellow head. Aroma has corn and faint orange. Taste has a small malt presence with slightly more hops than a standard lager, giving it a bit of flavour. Above average (for a lager). Very little aftertaste.
MrAleman (33), guildford, Surrey, England Aug 24, 2008 Dutch beer can be good, but this does not cut the mustard. Nothing good to say really, taste is uninspiring. It is beer though! Thats a positive. robotomy (3), , Alberta, Canada does not count Aug 23, 2008 Yeah okay. certainly a palatable brew, but didn’t ignite any excitement. wxman (446), O’Fallon, Illinois, USA Aug 23, 2008 Pours a pale yellow with a fairly decent white head. Mild aroma of hops and wet bread. Taste is sweet pale malt and a touch of hop bitterness. Overall not bad tasting, but muted and watery. Those who remark that it smells skunky or like dirty socks should try to purchase it fresh, rather than stale and light struck from sitting on a shelf for months. Were this brewed in the USA, it would be considered an above average macro. NJJereme (123), Saint Petersburg, Florida, USA Aug 23, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours a yellow color with a small white head. Aroma of skunky, malt and perhaps grass. A little sweeter than most American macro pale lagers. Overally, pretty lousy. fata2683 (86), APO, New York, USA Aug 21, 2008 Nothing to write home about. On par with the American lagers. I can’t stomach this stuff unless it comes from the brown bottles available in the Netherlands. But, as some of my co-workers say, "brown bottle Heineken is the best beer, hands down." Ummm...No not even close.
