Heineken is quite literally the only macro that I won’t touch to my lips. I am a snob, but I am also the kind of guy who can happily drink any plonk that is set in front of me as long as it means being part of the crowd and having a good time. Not with Heineken. Much like how some people have a rare aversion to cilantro, I am genetically predisposed to hate Heineken. Smells and tastes repulsive and it’s so fizzy that I can’t even choke it down and say it’s overwith. The aftertaste lasts for hours and every nasty belch reminds me never to touch the stuff again. Anything but Heineken!

(16 ounce can - pint glass) Pours a clear golden yellow color that produces no head and leads to little lacing. Very little aroma but for the nose that is there is grainey malt. Taste is dry, grain cereal malt and skunky. Thin body, little carbonation and dry finish.

gold-lct, simple, good co2, §hop-bitterness, might be good with seafood

Served at a holiday party. One of those beers you hold in your hand and drink on and off without really noticing.

Poors a clear pale yellow. Very bubbly / fizzy, has a thick white head that dissapates quickly. Has a slightly sour / slightly skunky aroma, taste the same as is smells. Thin bodied, overall not bad, i kinda of like the sourish/skunky taste in a strange way

Pale yellow color. Imperceptible and scarce aroma of hop. Light body and touch of bitterish.

Brewed under licence by Lion Nathan Australia. "It’s Heineken Jim, but not as we know it." Pale straw colour, little to no head, rather dull nose and although it tastes similar to the real thing this beer has a distinct pear note to it that kind of stands out. Its not as good as the real thing

Bottle. What can I say? It’s Heineken. Actually it’s not all that bad (the one brewed in Holland, not brewed under license), if not particularly exciting. Grainy, malty aroma with a hint of grassy, herbal hops. Flavour has some mild sweetness but is otherwise the same. Inoffensive and very easy to drink but that’s about it.
