12oz - Looked liek a white whrn poured. Nose told me different. Nice malty finish, mild hops but missing the skunky eurolager finish. Nice.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle a hazy, light yellow color with a modest white head that quickly lays down. Aroma is quite pleasant with a light grainy note and ends with a pear and grape esters providing a sweet base. Flavor starts with a heavy grainy note, some light grassy hops, very light grape sweetness and ends with grainy Pilsner malt note. Light body, moderately thin body, medium carbonation and low lacing on the side of the glass. Overall a pretty good example of a a Kolsch style.

Tasted 9/9/09. 12oz bottle. Activated pour produces about an inch of bubbling white head. Hazy golden hue. Aromas of bitter hops and subtle fruity esters. Medium bodied with a dry finish and a nice perfumy yeast character. Grassy and grainy malt flavors. Smooth mouth feel right to the finish, then the astringency hits and bitters the beer out. Crisp and decently flavorful.

12oz bottle-pours a thin white head and pale yellow color. Aroma is oat/malt/husky. Taste is musty/light malt/husky-some earthy/spicy hops.

Pours a slightly hazy and very bright yellow with only a few bubbles that recedes immediately leaving no lacing. The aroma is of mild grains and some light fruits, mainly lemon. There were hints of grassy hops but very faint. The taste had a much bigger hop presence than the aroma suggests with some lemon and grassy hops up front before the sweet bready malts hit and finish with a mild dry finish. The mouthfeel is light and clean with only a little bitterness in the finish. The carbonation was a bit higher than I expected given the lifeless appearance.. I have very little experience with Kolsch, but I enjoyed this beer and will have to try a few other examples to compare with it. It was head and shoulders better than the festbier I tried from Heiner.

Pours straw with white head. Flavor is cardboard, fruit and straw. There is a nice, mellow, aftertaste however. Not Horrible. Not good either.

Pours off white/straw color with a nice white head. Smells pf perfume, some light fruity hints, a touch of honey. Tastes of dry malt, some sugary hints, fruity with an earthy finish. Enjoyable.
