Commercial Description:
This honey blonde ale brings forth the sweet essence of the bees, tasting a little hoppy and a little sweet, just like our Heinzelmännchen friends. Enjoy this to celebrate all the goodness that is provided for us and dance like a Gnome of old. A lingering sweetness finishes this ale for after meals or with seafood dishes.

tap @ Heinzelmannchen pours hazy golden, white head. aroma has good notes of honey, same beer base, using pilsener base. taste, honey mouthfeel with some underlying hops sweetness and malts. Honey is right where it should be.

Sampled at the brewery .Light amber with a medium head. Poor retention and lacing. The honey comes through strongly in the aroma, with some grassy notes. Taste is grainy with subtle honey notes and a tart, grassy finish. Medium bodied.

Pours out light golden yellow color with a nice white head. Aroma is full of honey. Flavor was very thin but had a nice honey finish to it. Not a bad beer at all.

Tap at Asheville Brewgrass. I really liked the whole concept of this brewery, with the authentic German decorations and the little gnome taps, but I must say that the Honey Blonde ale definitely didnt get my pick for beer of the day. The honey was very apparent, along with a little toffee. The aroma was a bit off, smelling sort of musty, and the palate was extremely watery. I can’t say that this is a bad beer, perhaps there was something wrong with the tap. But either way the reps from the brewery were friendly and I have to give them credit for that.

Tap. LIght honey malt aroma. Golden yellow with a moderate head. Light honey malt flavor with light hops finish and moderate carbonation. Taste is rather subtle but a nice easy drinking summer beer.
