Commercial Description:
This honey blonde ale brings forth the sweet essence of the bees, tasting a little hoppy and a little sweet, just like our Heinzelmännchen friends. Enjoy this to celebrate all the goodness that is provided for us and dance like a Gnome of old. A lingering sweetness finishes this ale for after meals or with seafood dishes.

Tap. LIght honey malt aroma. Golden yellow with a moderate head. Light honey malt flavor with light hops finish and moderate carbonation. Taste is rather subtle but a nice easy drinking summer beer.

On tap sample at the brewery. A dun-colored light gold-brown. Distinct honey twanginess. Sorry, Dieter, but I enjoyed the Gopher ale much more. Moderately sweet, a bit underbittered. Body was a little watery, finish was a little flat and sweet. I could see where the ladies would enjoy this though.

Sampled at the brewery .Light amber with a medium head. Poor retention and lacing. The honey comes through strongly in the aroma, with some grassy notes. Taste is grainy with subtle honey notes and a tart, grassy finish. Medium bodied.

tap @ Heinzelmannchen pours hazy golden, white head. aroma has good notes of honey, same beer base, using pilsener base. taste, honey mouthfeel with some underlying hops sweetness and malts. Honey is right where it should be.

draught at the brewery. Well, uh, honey is the single most apparent note here but that is not to say that even that is strong. This is a fizzy, yellow, accessible beer that tastes like thin honey with very little happening. It definitely is not bad, but after a few it might be headache enducing.
