Commercial Description:
This ale is as dark as Germany's Black Forest. There, our little Heinzelmännchen friends sought out dwellings vacated by their larger animal companions, then sipped on this smooth ale and stretched out to enjoy the rustling winds of the pine forest. Black Forest Stout, with it’s balanced roasted barley and caramel flavors and thick head deserve contemplation and savoring.

tap @ Heinzelmannchen pours black with off white head. aroma and taste, add a good dose of fruits, mostly apples/pears with some roasted malts. Not too sure about the apple flavor to be the intended direction of this stout, just did not seem to fit the style. With that being said, the beer remained drinkable and did not show signs of oxidation.

I live right down the street from the Brewery. Thanks to Deiter the Brewer. Growler, pours an almost pure black thin color. The head is light tan. Aroma is malty and sweet roast. Decent stout, very fresh, no preservetives

I live right down the street from the Heinzelmannchen Brewery, and i gotta say that is is nice. The Black Forest Stout pour dark, dark brown with a little off-white head. The aroma is not to strong, but it smells of barley. The tastes is chocolate and carmel with a smooth finish. Very nice beer

clear dark brown, wispy beige head, roasted and dark chocolate aroma, dry chocolate flavor, touch of roasted malt adds to the dryness and creates a bitter edge, a touch of dark caramel adds complexity without adding any sweetness, lingering bitter finish,
