Dark rich brown body with mid tan head. Chocalte, nut and caramel aroma. The taste is much lighter than most stouts but has a light velvet texture. Smooth chocolate-coffee malt flavor - easy drinking with next to no bitterness. A fairly light stout but one I could drink all day - doesn’t sit heavy on you like some stouts. The Black Forest Stout pour dark, dark brown with a little off-white head. The aroma is not to strong, but it smells of barley. The tastes is chocolate and carmel with a smooth finish. Nothing exciting really, about as basic as it gets. The flavor was quite mellow, a little chocolate bitterness with a malty sweet aftertaste. middle of the road is the best way I can describe it. Medium bodied and lacking in some distinct flavors. Average.
