Thanks to Steve for bringing this back this growler from NC. Pours out brown with a weak soapy looking head. Aroma is slightly metallic and dishtowel like. Tate is very thin with little going on to make me want to finish it. Maybe the growler didn’t seal properly, because I can’t finish the glass, much less the growler. I will re rate as soon as I get more of this.

This place is definitly your Gnome town brewery, and the Brewer is awesome, but anyway... pours a cloudy light brown with full white frothy head. smooth and mild, light and a crispness to it, a very sessionable oktoberfest, and traditional, Very Good.

Tap at brewery - I was wondering what an "Oktoberfest Ale" would be categorized as. Caramel malt aroma. Reddish amber with moderate head. Caramel malt with mild hops finish. Nice full body. Tastes like a full flavored Fest beer more than any other brown ale I’ve ever had - in a category by itself.

Sampled at Brewgrass Fest. Cloudy, unfiltered copper/ brown color with a tan head. I found this to be weak tasting and very yeasty. Not clean at all. It may be possible that I got served the dregs. To give this one a truly fair shake, I’ll have to find and try it again.

Cloudy brownish orange, with a nice sized whaite head. Very pleasent if understated fresh bread aroma. Smooth and sweet, with a clean bready flavor and a touch of caramel sweetness. Sampled at Asheville Brewgrass, 2006.
