Miguel (1181), Saint-Ours, Quebec, Canada Apr 14, 2007 Robe brune très claire aux reflets acajous surmontée d’une mousse crémeuse mince en dentelle. Arômes de levures et de malt caramélisé. Saveurs de caramel, de noisette sucrées et de houblon terreux et boisé. rederic (1787), montréal, Quebec, Canada Feb 27, 2007 On tap at the HELM, hazy dark brown hue, with a tan-colored head, leaving laces, roasted and toasted malt nose, with a dark coffee roastiness, a mochaish note, faint dark raisin fruitiness in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with yeasty, mild winey fruitiness, with a sweet mochaish character, with some dark coffee beans roastiness, dark chocolatey accent, dark fruit fruitiness, leading towards a fruity subtle wineyness, and malty chocolatey finish. Rastacouere (5551), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Jan 23, 2007 Clear medium brown with light reddish reflects. Fading off-white head. Simplistic nutty roasted malts catch some light sulfury notes together with minimal residual cerealic nuances. Exagerated mineral side clashes a bit through the soft, barely aromatic floral hoppiness that renders a dry finishing bitterness which quickly fades. Light-medium bodied captures a sharp carbonation which further accentuates the bordering metallic dryness. Trying hard not to scare neophytes by putting out a subpar rendition of a mostly dull style and likely succeeding at that, but we have so many of those now.. so many..
