Bottle. The label brings back memories. This was ’the good stuff’ when I was just a pup. Pours clear gold with a thin, lace-free head. The aroma is sort of between a pale lager and a pils. but more to the pale side of the house. Light body and moderate carbonation for the style. The taste can be best described as ’sedate.’ Not much action here, just smidge of toffee. On the up side, the doesn’t seem to be any corn, butter or butterscotch notes. Crisp finish, with low bitterness.

I rated this middle of the road because that what it is. Everything about this beer was middle of the road from the appearance to the aroma to flavor. On the flip side, that is better than a bad beer! It was clean and crisp and without a better beer near by, refreshing.

Bottle. Pours a golden yellow with a thin white head. Aroma and taste is of malt and grain. Is very clean and easy to drink. Not a bad beer to have on a hot day. Overall, this is a pretty good beer considering that it is very inexpensive and tastes fairly good.

This is a good basic beer. Clean flavor, a bit of hops, nice head. One of the first beers I ever drank and the nostalgia is still a part of my rating. Just married, poor students, we would pick up bottles to get the deposit and go buy a six pack of Henry’s and it would last us a week. Simple taste, simple times.

Good on a hot day, although not something really exciting to seek out, it is what it is. A simple, clean and refreshing lager, that is inexpensive and made with better ingredients than its BMC counterparts. Sweet honey maltiness, that remains clean and well balanced, a bit of grassy hops bitter out the finish.

Not a whole lot going on in this beer, as far as Im concerned. It pours a golden colour, clean pour with lots of foam but aroma is very malted and texture is a little grainy.
